This hillside consisted of huge granite boulders. They weren't about to be moved. So, the only solution was to drill holes into the boulders, set rods in epoxy and fasten column bases to the rods.
The next step was to construct a composite wood deck with pressure treated understructure. The gazebo, of course, was built in our shop and then brought to the job site in sections. This 12' gazebo is enclosed with windows and an entry door.
Not only does this gazebo offer a great view, but privacy as well, since the owner's spouse refuses to traverse the arched bridge that connects an existing deck to the gazebo deck.
